CONNECT New World

More than 200 international guests have confirmed their participation in the CONNECT New World event, to be held in Santo Domingo next week.

The event will serve as a unique opportunity to promote the Dominican Republic within the international aviation ecosystem.

AERODOM -a subsidiary of VINCI Airports- announced that more than 200 international guests have confirmed their participation in the CONNECT New World event, an outstanding forum where aviation decision-makers will participate in a series of seminars with high-level speakers, one-on-one meetings and a program of outstanding evening events.

Thanks to the efforts of the Ministry of Tourism, the Dominican Republic was selected to host this important international event in recognition of the extraordinary recovery of air traffic post pandemic and the outstanding performance of the tourism industry that our country exhibits globally.

With more than 15 years of existence, CONNECT is an outstanding event in Europe and other markets. Throughout its history, it has established itself as one of the main meeting points for airlines, airports and tourism authorities to discuss air transport strategy in the region.

CONNECT will be held for the first time in the Americas, in the city of Santo Domingo, on May 30, 31 and June 1 at the fifth floor event room of the JW Marriott Hotel. Relevant CEOs and executives of airlines, airports and service companies in the air transportation industry have already confirmed their participation.

“We will have the privilege of having the presence of top executives from COPA Airlines, LATAM Airlines, Spirit, Westjet, Turkish Airlines, Sunrise Airways, Arajet, Sky High, Sky Cana, Viva Aerobus, ETF Airways, Fly One Sky, Blue Sky Airlines, Eurowings Discover… just to mention some of the airlines already confirmed. We will also be joined by executives from the main airports of Brazil, Colombia, Panama, Honduras, Costa Rica, Canada, the United States, as well as several Caribbean islands. In addition, we will have the outstanding presence of all the country’s airports and important service companies,” said Mónika Infante Henríquez, general director of AERODOM.

CONNECT is a route development event established by The Airport Agency. The forum offers its participants unlimited face-to-face meetings and a diverse conference program, as well as social events including evening functions, morning activities and excursions.

“We are confident that CONNECT will enable the country to establish new routes, as well as strengthen existing ones, which will support passenger traffic growth. From AERODOM, we are working to increase the boarding gates at the AILA-JFPG, with the vision of transforming our airport into a new regional hub that will provide new opportunities for the launch of more routes to multiple destinations,” added Mónika Infante.
