A new edition of the event will be held from October 11 to 13 to promote the tourism options of this attractive destination in the Dominican Republic.
After two years without being held, Discover Puerto Plata MarketPlace returns with a renewed concept, which will take place from October 11 to 13 with the support of the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic.
The event aims to position Puerto Plata as a multi-destination, where visitors can enjoy the nature, culture and gastronomy of the place, in addition to practicing adventure and wellness tourism, or holding business events and organizing congresses.
The complete hotel and service infrastructure available to tourists during their stay will also be promoted.
Experiential routes for professionals.
The meeting, which will resume its position as the most important annual event for the promotion of the northern area of the country, will be held for the first time in a format more adapted to global trends, with experiential routes and thematic events being the differentiating points of this edition.
In this regard, Birgitt Heinsen, president of the Puerto Plata Destination Tourism Cluster, the organizing entity, said: “This format will make Discover a more dynamic and interactive marketing activity through the participation in different routes that will allow industry professionals to get to know the destination directly at a sensory level”.
The executive added: “Discover Puerto Plata has been the main window of our destination to the world and, after two years without being held, global trends showed us the need to adapt the event to meet the growing demand for authentic, experiential, participatory and intercultural experiences”.
It is worth adding that a digital platform will allow business contacts before and after the meeting, as well as access to downloadable materials, presentations and training with the opportunity to become certified in the destination, among other facilities.
