The Chamber of Commerce and Production of La Vega announced the celebration of the twenty-sixth edition of Expo Vega Real in person for the first time after the coronavirus pandemic, with a special dedication to the tourism potential of the province.
The event will be held from September 1 to 4 at the La Vega Country Club under the slogan LA VEGA “Live the experience in the Capital of Ecotourism”, with the objective of highlighting the importance of sustainable development in the area and its contributions to this productive sector, as well as the diverse cultural offerings that include the municipalities of Jarabacoa, Constanza and Jima.
Irlonca Tavárez, president of the Chamber of Commerce and Production of La Vega, announced the participation of David Collado, Minister of Tourism, in the inauguration ceremony to be held on Thursday, September 1 at 10:00 a.m. in the Tabaré events hall.
Tavárez also informed that as part of the content of the activity, there will be panels and conferences focusing on provincial development through commerce, as well as workshops, contests and activities for the whole family.
Meanwhile, Paola Estévez, president of Expo Vega Real 2022, announced the availability of a digital model that promotes commercial offers of the fair, facilitating the participation of various audiences and expanding the projection of local businesses.
The fair will have an organizational logistics, managed by the Chamber of Commerce, to ensure a safe environment, after two years of virtual activities due to the covid pandemic. In addition, alliances with expert companies in eco-friendly event management will be incorporated to maintain a space free of waste that affects the environment.
The fair, which is one of the most traditional and emblematic in the country, will be held with the support of various prominent sponsors in the areas of communication, banking, commerce, services, consumer products and others.
