Bachata and tango merge in the Dominican-Argentine film “O+”

Shooting has begun on the Argentine film “O+”, a co-production between Argentina and the Dominican Republic, directed by Bruno Musso. “In ‘O+’ bachata and tango merge to make the Dominican Republic and Argentina dance to the rhythm of the big screen,” added those responsible for the film.

The film is based on true events and tells the story of two prosperous Dominicans living in Buenos Aires in the 1990s, a time when information about sexually transmitted diseases was hushed up and those who suffered from them were sentenced to death.

The protagonists will have to face rejection, prejudice and ignorance, after being diagnosed with a syndrome about which there is little information and few resources, so returning to their roots could represent beyond health, a new beginning.

This co-production began filming last December in different locations in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, and even moved its main cast to begin shooting in Argentina.

The film stars Victorio D’Alessandro, Evelyna Rodríguez and Danilo Reynoso. “Great shooting in Puerto Plata. Grateful to all the crew, technical, cameras, makeup, wardrobe, direction, production. Closing again the year as I ended the previous one: shooting. Embracing this privilege and giving it my all as always. Head, common sense, intuition, perseverance, discipline, desire to work and grit, a lot of grit. Without passion we are going nowhere. This is on the way and we follow it in Baires”, Alessandro expressed in his social networks accompanied by some images.

D’Alessandro is known for his performance in plays such as “Casi ángeles”, “Herederos de una venganza”, “Los únicos”, “Sos mi hombre” and “Golpe al corazón”. This last year he shot a series in Portugal, “Filha rebelde”, of 6 chapters, and another one in Bilbao called “Black Sunday”.
