Spanish tourism group brings electric mobility to Dominican hotels

Together with the Swedish technology company Inzile, the use of electric vehicles will be promoted in the internal transportation of the lodging complexes or in logistics services.

The tourism company Grupo Piñero and the Swedish technology company Inzile have created a joint venture with the aim of bringing mobility in 100% electric vehicles to the hotel sector in the Dominican Republic. The new brand, 50% owned by both entities, will be called Emos Caribbean.

According to Grupo Piñero, the project aims to provide sustainable solutions to the various mobility services in the tourism industry. For example, the use of electric vehicles for the internal transportation of clients within a hotel complex, as well as for the different logistic services of this type of establishments.

Emos Caribbean will initially provide services in the Dominican Republic and will later expand to the rest of the Caribbean -Mexico, southern United States, Central America, Colombia and Brazil. Ricardo Moreno, a representative of Grupo Piñero, will lead this new line of business.
