Santo Domingo Country Club inaugurates four new charging stations for electric vehicles

Evergo’s network of electric vehicle charging stations continues to expand in Santo Domingo, this time hand in hand with the Santo Domingo Country Club.

With the launch of four new Evergo electric vehicle chargers, members of the Country Club and their guests who own electric vehicles will be able to charge their cars while enjoying one of the best golf courses in the Caribbean or a day of family recreation.

The installation of these charging stations contributes to the purpose of promoting and accelerating the development of a safe and reliable charging infrastructure, with an innovative and efficient solution that guarantees a more sustainable mobility in the Dominican Republic.

During the opening ceremony, the president of the Board of Directors of the Santo Domingo Country Club, Jaime Marranzini, stated that “for some years now, our club has been working to improve its interaction with the environment. To encompass this concept, we created Eco Country, within which we have managed to replace the consumption of non-recyclable materials, create waste sorting points and optimize water consumption -especially for the course and gardening-, as well as transforming the electrical matrix by adding solar panels. Today, we have joined this alliance with our friends at Evergo, making four charging stations for electric vehicles available to our members”.

For his part, Roberto Herrera, Country Manager of InterEnergy, the company that operates Evergo, thanked “the trust and support of the Santo Domingo Country Club to provide its members with a state-of-the-art electric charging service, which complements its offer characterized by the highest quality standards. It is a great pleasure to celebrate this alliance that contributes to the reduction of environmental emissions and therefore to a more sustainable planet.

With the integration of these electric vehicle chargers, there are now more than 300 Evergo charging points distributed in the four corners of the Dominican Republic, contributing to InterEnergy Systems’ goal of reaching 500 electric charging stations by the end of 2021.

The recently inaugurated stations are equipped with level 2 chargers, known as “semi-fast”, which allow electric vehicles to be recharged in less than three hours. The operation of the chargers consists of a self-service model, through the Evergo App, where the user can plan his route, book, pay through a virtual wallet and start charging, providing a differentiated service thanks to cutting-edge technology.
