After several years, Bahoruco returns to have a presence in Miss World DR

Miss Bahoruco, Chantal Ferreras, who seeks to become the next Miss World Dominican Republic, expressed that her goal is to bring a message of love and impact, promoting the riches of her native province, which after several years has returned to have a presence in this contest.

Ferreras says she represents the real woman who stands up and fights for her dreams and her province of Bahoruco, which is located between lakes and mountains.

The native of this poor province of the country, which since 2018 did not present a candidate in the Miss World Dominican Republic, highlights the human quality that its inhabitants have.

Chantal Ferreras, 26 years old, is a native of Los Rios de Neyba, speaks two languages in addition to Spanish ( English and Catalan) and is a green belt in karate.

She was also a student of talent scout Nileny Dipton, is a flight attendant, practices swimming and enjoys reading.

While working for the airline, she volunteered for Aviation Without Borders, a non-profit NGO that helps poor people from other countries who do not have enough money to buy flights or pay for stays in other countries when they have to travel to treat their children for health problems.

Ferreras revealed that his favorite book is “Les Miserables” and he loves the environment.

She described herself as an environmentalist who promotes care for the environment by reducing the use of plastics.

From Monday, August 30 through Saturday, September 4, she will compete with 24 other young women for the crown of Miss World Dominican Republic 2021, to represent the country in the 70th edition of the Miss World pageant, which will be held on December 16 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
