From the city of Lima in Peru, Dominican beauty Princess Mercedes was crowned as the new Miss Universe Beauty 2021. Mercedes is 22 years old, a professional model and a recent graduate of Fashion Design.
During the competition, the participants faced tests of physical effort, talent, and typical costume where the Dominican representative wore a costume inspired by the beaches of the Dominican Republic made by fashion designer Socrates Cabral.
The new queen emphasized that she wants to become a spokesperson for people who want to be heard and have no way to express themselves, in addition to inviting young people to believe in themselves because there are no limits.
