After 13 years since the first crown, the Dominican Republic has just won, for the second time, the coveted Miss Amber World 2022 title, which went to young Amber Lorena de La Rosa, a native of Constanza.
With the participation of more than 20 countries, the international pageant was held at the Catalonia Punta Cana hotel under the direction of Gatsby Dominicana, the home of queens and organizer of multiple beauty pageants for adults, girls and adolescents.
Nerys Diaz, director of Gatsby said that the 46th edition of Miss Ambar World was produced by the company Diseño Latino based in Bogota, Colombia and its main executives Eduard Duque and Johan Contreras, recognized producers of this type of events.
Among the selected categories were the Teen Ambar World where the winner was the representative of Puerto Rico, Adriana del Mar Aponte, Mrs. Ambar World where the Brazilian Franciele Weinheimer was elected and the Baby Ambar World that went to Venezuela with the girl Angelica Perez.
Likewise, the Mini Ambar Mundial was selected with the Puerto Rican Elimar Parrilla and the Preteen Ambar Mundial with the girl Girslayne Tejada Read from Saona Island.
The best typical costume went to Peru and the best fancy dress costume to Venezuela, among other special prizes that were awarded during that night.
Hundreds of tourists and special guests gathered at the hotel’s theater to enjoy a show dressed with the latest technology in the international market.
The Dominican Republic has achieved an important international presence in the beauty pageant industry, hosting several international pageants in the eastern zone, which has a major impact on tourism in Bavaro and Punta Cana.
