Sheynnis Palacios, the reigning Miss Universe, will arrive in the Dominican Republic on June 30, marking the first visit of a Miss Universe to the country in 14 years. Palacios, accompanied by an entourage from the pageant franchise, will arrive on a private flight from Logicpaq Airlines at El Higüero Airport.
The Miss Universe’s work agenda includes various activities and social gatherings. Palacios will be received by Magalis Febles, director of the Miss Universe franchise for the Dominican Republic and El Salvador; and Celinee Santos, the current Miss Dominican Republic Universe.
During her stay, Palacios will visit several institutions that work for the benefit of children, including the Friends Against Childhood Cancer Foundation (FACCI). She will also give a talk on female empowerment to students at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD).
