Centro Cámara swears in new board of directors for the 2021-2023 term headed by Edgar Del Toro

Centro Cámara de Comercio de la República Dominicana (CENTROCAMARA) swore in its new Board of Directors, presided by businessman Edgar Del Toro, for the period 2021-2023.

After being sworn in, Del Toro recalled that the objective of CENTROCAMARA is to promote relations between the Dominican Republic and Central American nations, through the development of programs and projects that stimulate trade and economic, cultural and social exchange activities.

The event was held at Work Café by ACERH and was attended by businessmen, government officials, members of the diplomatic corps accredited in the country and representatives of the media.

The Vice Minister of Industry and Commerce and Mipymes (MICM) Ramón Pérez, on behalf of Minister Victor Bisonó, swore in the new board of directors, which also includes Kathy Ann Grullón Aybar, Luisa Mercedes Abinader Defran, Ricardo Eduardo Bonetti Félix, Victor Virgilio Méndez Saba, Juan Manuel Martin De Oliva, Damián Antonio Báez Dorrejo, Polibio Miguel Valenzuela Scheker, Porfirio Antonio Duran Rodriguez, Héctor Vinicio Mella Garrido, Olga Altagracia de los Santos Guerrero, Willy Jose Cabrera Marcelino, Héctor Cerna.

Also Christian Reynoso, Jennifer Estévez Amado, Robert Morales Purcell, Ariel A. Uribe Suarez, Opinio Álvarez Bisonó, Sarah Ynes García Moreno, Yulibelys Bienvenida Wanderlpool Ramírez, Nancy Arias, Cesar Alejandro Aybar Batista, Irvin Duran and Gustavo Montealegre.

After the inauguration, Vice Minister Ramon Perez presented an award to Isabel Estevez, founding honorary president of CENTRORCAMARA RD, and to businessmen Don Osiris Grullon and Marisela Aybar de Grullon of Star Products, special recognition as outstanding family business.

The president of CENTROCAMARA Edgar Del Toro in his speech pledged to continue with an important role in supporting the countries of the region to become more efficient, create new synergies and operate as a single great competitor, without divisions, and common horizons.

“It is a great pleasure for me to have the honor of assuming the challenge of leading the objectives and strategies of this prestigious chamber of commerce, where together with great colleagues, professionals and friends, we continue to expand the vision that the Chamber Center should serve as a catalytic dynamo to manage and channel these business and cultural opportunities,” said the businessman.

It should be noted that during its last administration, the RD Chamber Center worked with the business and networking meeting “Doing business with Central America” organized and mounted jointly with the embassies of the seven Central American countries in the Dominican Republic; the signing of the Inter-Institutional Cooperation Agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, (MIREX), in the framework of the Pro Tempore Presidency of SICA, year 2018; presentation tour of CENTROCAMARA-RD to business associations, national and international government authorities, free zones, among others, establishing synergies, presenting action plans and coordinating joint projects.
