The American Chamber of Commerce of the Dominican Republic (AMCHAMDR) will celebrate the twenty-ninth edition of Dominican Week in the United States.
This is an event that has served for almost three decades to strengthen political, commercial, social and cultural ties between the United States and the Dominican Republic.
During a press conference, Roberto Herrera, president of AMCHAMDR, announced that this year’s edition will be held from September 27 to October 1 in hybrid mode in the cities of Washington and New York and will also feature virtual transmission through the platform www.semana.do.
Herrera, who is also president of the Organizing Committee of the event, informed that the agenda of the 29th edition of Dominican Week will focus on the promotion of the Dominican Republic as a Nearshore platform and Regional Logistics Hub, reactivation of tourism, relations with the Biden administration, renewable energies and health.
William Malamud, executive vice-president of AMCHAMDR, highlighted the role of Semana Dominicana in promoting the Dominican market as a destination for investment, trade and tourism, as well as in promoting the country’s exports of goods and services and strengthening ties with the United States, the Dominican Republic’s main trading partner.
The Dominican Week delegation is made up of businessmen, executives, professionals, academics and government authorities who will carry out an interesting agenda of high-level private meetings, as well as events that will bring together diplomatic representatives, officials, local businessmen and members of the Dominican diaspora in the United States.
