The Consejo Nacional del Comercio en Provisiones (CNCP), held a meeting with the business leaders of San Francisco de Macorís where it offered details of the Expo Provisiones 2024 and announced the recognition to be given to Emilthoms Castillo, vice-president of the Association of Wholesale Traders of the Duarte province.
During the activity, which is part of the route of meetings by region of the country to motivate traders to be part of the Expo, the CNCP invited the wholesale leaders of San Francisco to join Expo Provisiones under the slogan “Together for the stability of trade”.

Alberto Leroux, president of the CNCP, took the opportunity to highlight the contributions of the Association of Wholesale Traders of the Duarte Province, the development and progress of the sector, as well as the contributions made by Mr. Castillo since the idea of this fair, which makes him worthy of recognition in this fifth edition, which will be delivered in the framework of this.
“During Expo Provisiones 2024, traders will have a special space each day of the fair in a schedule created especially for them, where they can have business meetings and direct encounters with the main executives of the participating companies, as well as instant exposure to the more than 100,000 visitors who come every year,” said Leroux.
Mr. Jorge Jerez, president of the Expo committee, informed that this year the event will be held from June 6 to 9 at the events hall of the Plaza Comercial Sambil, and will be dedicated to Grupo Linda, with the participation of Honduras as guest country, in addition to offering technical details of the fair.
The information was given at the meeting held at the Catalina restaurant in San Francisco de Macoris, which was attended by Eufemio Vargas, Emilthoms Castillo and Carlos Manuel Almanzar, president of the Merchants Association of Duarte province, as well as businessmen linked to trade in this area, representatives of the CNCP, among other authorities.
