President Luis Abinader informed that starting next October, a cruise ship will arrive every eight days to Cabo Rojo, Pedernales.
In offering the information, the president said that the figure is part of the schedule that the cruise lines have for the area. This includes Carnival Cruise Line.
For his part, the Minister of the Presidency, Joel Santos, said that in three years it is estimated that one million tourists will arrive in Cabo Rojo.
Likewise, Santos revealed that next year (2025) two hotels of about 500 rooms will open their doors in Pedernales. Structures that add to the advancement of tourism in Pedernales, as has been the construction of the port of Cabo Rojo.
The statements by President Abinader and Joel Santos were offered during the tour they led in Santiago, as part of the first test run of the Santiago Monorail.
