San Pedro de Macoris is well known for its beautiful beaches, but also for its significant contribution to industrial development. This province hides endearing and charming places, one of them is the Leche y Miel project, a tourist attraction with a different concept and a humanly extraordinary cause.
Leche y Miel is also considered a family space that seeks the enjoyment of young and old, with skating activities, karaoke night, making and designing cookies, among others.
There, having a delicious coffee is a beautiful experience, the atmosphere and the harmony that is breathed is definitely a wonderful gift. The place has a bakery and a space for family or work meetings and birthday celebrations.
The eye-catching project was created for a beautiful cause, which makes it even more attractive to tourists. Its main objective is to take part of its income to the Lily House Foundation, which is dedicated to rescuing women who are trafficked and then paying the tuition for those who have children, as well as supplying them with medication.
Currently, the foundation works hand in hand with the National Council for Children and Adolescents (CONANI) to rescue minors who are trafficked and used for prostitution.
Thanks to the funds of this tourist attraction, those who go through this nightmare, after being rescued, have the opportunity to be rehabilitated and reintegrated into society in a very productive way because they are trained and taught to make cakes, paintings and handicrafts, thus removing them completely from the life they were leading.
Erika Jude, owner of the business, understands that everyone can contribute in some way to the eradication of human trafficking. She seeks a purpose in life and part of that is to help those in need.
For Jude, it is beautiful that people visit the store, have a coffee and at the same time contribute to a beautiful cause.
You can live this cozy experience. The place is open from Tuesday to Sunday and is located on Juan Dolio Boulevard, San Pedro de Macoris.
