37 thousand liters of milk is the goal of Lechetón Activo 20-30 in the DR

The members of Club Activo 20-30 in the Dominican Republic, in alliance with Tetra Pak, will carry out a new edition of Lechetón Activo 20-30, whose goal is to collect more than 37 thousand liters of milk in Tetra Pak packages to benefit thousands of children and adolescents in vulnerable situations. The collection will be hybrid: mainly online through the web page https://do.lecheton.com/ and in person in some provinces, from October 16 to November 14.

For the second consecutive year, those who contribute virtually should only select the milk of their choice, the amount they wish to contribute and click on the official website of the collection. Meanwhile, on October 16 and 17 in the provinces of Santiago, La Vega, Baní, Villa Vázquez, Higüey, La Romana and Nagua, collection points will be set up so that people can bring their contribution physically.

“With Lechetón Activo 20-30 we have had the opportunity to help for eleven consecutive years, the child population of the Dominican Republic, which is the future of our country, and we have achieved this thanks to the support of all Dominicans who year after year join this cause. We know that this year 2021 will be no exception and we count on everyone’s contribution to surpass the goal we have set ourselves of 37 thousand liters of milk”, emphasizes Laura Ibert, National Manager of Lechetón 2021.

Donations in Tetra Pak packages ensure that the milk is kept safe during distribution and storage, and that it reaches the beneficiaries ready for consumption.

“Milk is an important food in the diet of children, due to the nutrients it provides to the body. For Tetra Pak it is a pleasure and a great experience to continue supporting Club Activo 20-30 in this work through its packages, which allow to maintain the properties of milk for much longer and without the need for preservatives,” says Laura Matos de Fondeur, Marketing Manager of Tetra Pak.

The milk collected will be delivered to 70 shelters in the country, including: SOS Children’s Villages Los Mina Program, Hogar Escuela Santo Domingo Savio, MADELAES Foundation, Ama A tu Prójimo Foundation, Remar Foundation, Hogar Infantil Manos Divinas, Hogar Renacer – Hijas de la Caridad, Hogar Emiliano Tardif, Angeles de CONANI, Red de Misericordia.

The collection will also be supported by the Dominican Scouts, Alianza ONG and Grupo SIN.
