Aliss opens the doors of a new megastore in Dominican Republic

Aliss, the Greek-Venezuelan department store, moves up a notch and opens the doors of a new large-format store in the Dominican Republic. The new space of more than 9,000 square meters is located in the Metro Plaza shopping center in Santo Domingo.

According to company sources, the new store required an investment of more than US$4 million, generated 400 direct jobs and 30 indirect jobs in its construction and will generate 150 direct jobs for its operation. The department store is moving forward with its consolidated and modern proposal of fashion for the whole family, beauty and home in one place.

With the new store, Aliss now has seven stores in the Dominican Republic, a market it entered seven years ago. During the inauguration of the store, brand executives confirmed the opening of one more store in San Isidro next year, in line with its strategy of managing an annual opening.

Aliss has more than 70 stores worldwide with presence in Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Chile, Greece, Dominican Republic and Panama. The family-owned company founded by Teodor Constantinau is one of the most successful export success stories in the Venezuelan industry.
