Karen Gutiérrez, better known as Lola presents her conference “Beyond the skin”. This is the first activity focused on people with skin conditions and seeks to help cultivate self-esteem and self-love.
The activity, which will take place next Friday, November 19 at 7:00 pm at the Dominican Sports Hall of Fame, aims to provide answers and alternatives to deal with challenging and complex news that limit the development of life.
In a press release, Karen Gutiérrez, better known as Lola, for her personal growth digital space called La Libreta de Lola explained that in the conference she will tell how it was for her to overcome the emotional and self-esteem ravages of a health diagnosis that changed her whole life.
About Lola
In 2017, she was diagnosed with Psoriasis, an autoimmune disease, which affects her skin cells and causes permanent lesions on her skin. That is why going through this hard process, and finding her personal value beyond her physical lesions which she calls battle marks, she created the event “Beyond Skin” dedicated to people with skin conditions, their family members, and anyone dealing with physical complexes, to support them on the path of self-love by helping them find their value, beyond how they look externally.
Karen is a young publicist with more than 10 years of experience in new product and brand development. As well as managing infrastructure projects for food and movie franchises in the Dominican Republic.
She currently works full time as a life mentor, transformational speaker, podcaster and writer through La Libreta de Lola, supporting people to build their best version of themselves and cultivate their relationship with God. Passion that she carries in conjunction with her other ventures.
