Colonial City to showcase diversity of tourism at DATE

In a joint effort to promote the Colonial City, the Santo Domingo Tourism Cluster, the Santo Domingo Hotel Association and the Integral Tourism and Urban Development Program of the Colonial City of Santo Domingo (PIDTUCCSD), executed by the Ministry of Tourism, with financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), will attend the event.

With the objective of projecting the diversity of its tourist and cultural experiences, as well as its revitalization program, the Colonial City of Santo Domingo will participate in the Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange (DATE) 22023 edition, to be held from the 26th to the 28th of this month at the Barceló Bávaro Convention Center, Punta Cana.

A delegation made up of the Santo Domingo Tourism Cluster, the Santo Domingo Hotel Association and the Integral Tourism and Urban Development Program of the Colonial City of Santo Domingo (PIDTUCCSD), which is being implemented by the Ministry of Tourism with financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), will be in charge of presenting the attractions that Santo Domingo offers to a large number of international travel agents and tour operators, tourism service providers and specialized groups that will be attending the event.Colonial CityCiudad Colonial

Likewise, they will be attending an intense agenda that includes participation in the business rounds, press conferences and the different activities of DATE, in the interest of continuing to promote tourism in the oldest urban center of the continent and to continue to encourage the growth of the flow of visitors.Colonial City

The representation that will attend DATE will project in its stand part of the wide range of experiences offered by the historic center of Santo Domingo, such as the monumental wealth that keeps the First City of America, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1990.

The varied and high quality gastronomic offerings; its daytime and nighttime entertainment offerings, which make it an increasingly lively and vibrant city with its bars and theaters; its different lodging options, its art galleries, as well as the renovation projects that are being carried out.

DATE is the most important fair for the promotion of the Dominican tourism product in the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean, organized every year by the Dominican Association of Hotels and Tourism (Asonahores) and “for Ciudad Colonial it is a great opportunity to be present in this edition, betting with great enthusiasm and great expectations for the development of tourism in Santo Domingo,” said its representatives.
