Channels 4 and 17, the radio stations Dominicana FM, Quisqueya FM, and the digital platforms of the State Corporation of Radio and Television (CERTV) are transmitting until next Sunday several of their programs live from the 34th edition of the Expo Cibao 2021 fair, in Santiago de los Caballeros.
The newscast “4RD Noticias”, the morning show “Esta Mañana”, special reports, interviews and other special content are transmitted live and deferred during the programming of the CERTV channels, after Wednesday night’s broadcast of the opening of the inaugural session headed by President Luis Abinader.
Rafaelina Bisonó, Alex Santiago, Wendy Mora, Katherine Sánchez and other talents host these programs, under the coordination of José Luis de la Cruz, production director, and José Ramón Suero, press director.
Expo Cibao is defined by the Santiago Chamber of Commerce and Production, which sponsors it, as “the platform of greatest projection for local, national and international companies in the Dominican Republic”.
The “full support” of CERTV to Expo Cibao was committed by Nelson Marte, general director of the state radio and television broadcaster, with Carlos Iglesias, president of the Chamber of Commerce and Production of Santiago.
In signing an agreement for the support of the state media to the commercial activity, Marte underlined that “this year’s Expo Cibao will fall as a blessing of impulse to the process of economic reactivation that has been taking place in the country after the devastating effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“This 34th edition of Expo Cibao we are sure that it will give a special impulse to the efforts of opening and economic reactivation and employment that the government, businessmen, civil and political society, and all entities interested in the country moving forward,” said Marte.
He added that CERTV’s support is materialized with a wide promotion before, during and after the event, in different schedules of its programming, which will include live transmission of the opening ceremony, scheduled for September 29th. The event will run until October 3.
Iglesias said that every year Expo Cibao has great support from the local and national media, and in this sense he said that they welcome the fact that the state media commits its support.
