Dominican Republic is doing well in economic terms, says Luis Abinader

President Luis Abinader assured this Wednesday that “the country is doing well” in economic terms, assuring that “we will end this year with a positive 5% in economic terms in relation to the pre-pandemic, above jobs and with much higher production in all areas”.

The head of state offered these details during an interview he held in the program “Hoy Mismo”, broadcast by Color VisiĆ³n, Channel 9.

During the interview, the President reiterated that one of the issues that worries him the most is “inflation, also produced by an increase in the price of oil, which are factors that we cannot control”.

Likewise, he recalled that by the end of 2020 they managed to open 40% of the hotels.

“And we are going to have a great year, with some situations that we could have. Excellent year breaking records in Punta Cana and we must support Puerto Plata a little more because of the fact that the markets that are lagging behind are the European and Canadian markets”, added Luis Abinader.
