Banco Popular thanked Plan Sierra for the coordination and the Missionary Disciples for Holiness Sisters for providing the land for the reforestation day and contributing to a greener and more sustainable future.
For two decades, these planting days have been part of the Popular’s actions and contributions to the conservation and protection of the environment, biodiversity and natural resources of the country.

The vice-president of the Corporate Relations and Responsible Banking Area, Mariel Bera, highlighted that since 2000 more than 14,000 volunteer collaborators of Grupo Popular and its different subsidiaries have participated, whose commitment has been fundamental in the achievement of the organization’s sustainable objectives.
“This planting day reinforces our corporate purpose of catalyzing the economic, social and environmental development of the nation in a sustainable environment. With each reforestation we develop a model of responsible banking that contemplates the shared well-being for the country and its people,” said Bera.
Along with Bera, Robinson Bou, vice-president of the Corporate Business Area and Patricia Rodríguez, vice-president of the Audit, Risk and Operations Area, among other executives of Grupo Popular, headed this second day.
