To this end, the U.S. Department of State will come to the Dominican Republic to sign the agreement. The legal instrument seeks to reduce the prices of airline tickets and is in its final stage, according to the official.
Collado expressed himself in those terms, after the press conference where he offered details on the arrival of visitors during the month of February 2023.
“We have practically closed this Open Skies agreement with the United States, I have already received a 
communication from the U.S. State Department and we understand that in the month of March it will be signed,” said Collado.
Last December 22, he met with the U.S. Department of State in Washington to close the negotiations. He added that “one of the conditions we set was that it be signed in the Dominican Republic, so Open Skies with the United States will be a reality”.
