With the raising of the national flag and a protocol ceremony, the executive director of the National Institute for Comprehensive Early Childhood Care (Inaipi), Besaida Manola Santana, initiated the services in the Caipi and CAFI centers, at the national level, for the year 2024-2025.
The act of raising the national flag was held at the Caipi Redención, in the municipal district of Pantoja, in the municipality of Los Alcarrizos. Director Santana was accompanied by four year old children who receive quality comprehensive care at this center.
At the same time, the services offered through the Family and Community Based Program (PBFC) were opened during a protocol ceremony held at the CAFI Los Solares, belonging to the Los Girasoles Network, in the National District.
Santana said that the opening of the services also includes the early stimulation and initial education rooms in 56 CAFIs located throughout the national territory, which were increased from four to six strategies.
She said that the expansion of CAFIs to six strategies seeks to strengthen good child-rearing practices and more effectively enhance the developmental dimensions of children.
The official emphasized that the services of the CAFIs of six strategies offer services to children and families that include home support, training for families, godparents and articulation with service networks, as well as early stimulation and early education in classrooms twice a week, in the morning and afternoon.
He added that these services, in addition to children from 0 to 5 years of age, include pregnant women.
The 4-strategy centers do not offer early stimulation or initial education services.
