Dominican Embassy launches its first magazine in Haiti

In a well-attended diplomatic event held on February 27 at the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, on the occasion of the 178th anniversary of National Independence, Ambassador Faruk Miguel Castillo launched Diplo Isla, the first digital and printed magazine of that diplomatic mission.

Diplo Isla is a bilingual publication (in French and Spanish), with the highest quality printing and content. It aims to strengthen friendly ties and good neighborly relations between both nations, as part of the foreign policy outlined by President Luis Abinader, led by Foreign Minister Roberto Alvarez and implemented in all diplomatic missions of the country.

The first edition of Diplo Isla includes items of interest in the multilateral, bilateral, political, commercial, economic and social fields, as well as successful cultural and public diplomacy initiatives.

Present at the event were Haiti’s Minister of Foreign Affairs a.i., Her Excellency Luz K. Cassandra François; the Apostolic Nuncio and dean of the diplomatic corps accredited in Haiti, His Excellency Monsignor Francisco Escalante; accredited heads of diplomatic missions and civil and military authorities.
