The confirmation of the celebration of this event was a unanimous decision that came out of a meeting convened by the president of the executive committee of the Consorcio Institución Ferial de Madrid (Ifema), José Vicente de los Mozos, and held with local and national authorities of Spain. ”The celebration of Fitur constitutes the greatest guarantee of support to the tourism sector at a critical moment for its total reactivation”, it was confirmed after the meeting. Security Protocol To guarantee the normal celebration of Fitur, Ifema Madrid will reinforce health controls and will take all security measures to the extreme. Among the measures, all participants from countries that are members of the European digital COVID certificate will be required to present it and, for participants from third countries, the same requirement will be requested at the border to obtain the QR Spain Health that allows entry into Spain. It will also deploy again, as it did in the 2021 edition, a rigorous protocol of measures and systems to ensure the safety of all exhibitors and visitors, which will be validated by the Ministry of Health of the Community of Madrid. Thus, it will carry out the capacity control in all pavilions, with automated people counting systems, and with an intelligent digital system for the analysis of spaces, capacity and behavior of attendees, controlling at all times the crowds, in addition to requiring the mandatory use of masks inside the facilities and temperature controls. The application of strict protocols in the catering area will also be relevant, with a wide deployment of spaces for this purpose in the exterior of the enclosure.
