Inauguration of works this Monday in Dajabón and Montecristi

In order to continue promoting the development and progress of the northwestern region, President Luis Abinader will complete a work agenda tomorrow, Monday, July 8, in the provinces of Dajabón and Montecristi.

The president will inaugurate the National Army Fortress in Dajabón, while in Montecristi, he will inaugurate the Auxiliary Pier Energy 2,000 and will begin construction work on the Manzanillo Bay Energy Project. Then, from Manzanillo, he will preside over “LA Semanal con la Prensa”.

Monday, July 8 Dajabón

After his tour yesterday, Saturday, in two provinces of the eastern part of the country, the President will move to the province of Dajabón, on the northwest line, where he will inaugurate at 12:00 noon, the National Army Fortress.

Manzanillo, Montecristi

Afterwards, the head of state will move to Montecristi, where he will inaugurate the Auxiliary Pier Energy 2,000 and will give the first step for the construction of the Manzanillo Bay Energy Project.

The President will end his work agenda on Monday with a meeting with the media “LA Semanal con la Prensa”, in Manzanillo.

Saturday’s agenda in the east of the country

La Altagracia

In the province of La Altagracia, the President inaugurated the reconstruction of the Domingo Maíz highway and its interconnection to Punta Cana Avenue, in the municipal district of Verón, to improve the quality of life of its inhabitants.

Also, in La Otra Banda, Higüey, the president inaugurated the bridge over the Yauya stream, which connects the communities of La Otra Banda, Cruz del Isleño, El Salado, Macao and Nisibón.

In addition, the President started the construction works of the preventive jail in Anamuya, Higüey, paying a historical debt with this municipality.

San Pedro de Macorís

In the afternoon, President Abinader inaugurated several works in San Pedro de Macoris, including the Prof. Jose Alfonso Cabral High School, in the Villa Maranatha sector, as well as the asphalting of the following sectors: Naime I, Naime II, Villa España, Los Transformadores, Blanco and Ebenezer neighborhoods. Also, the construction of the wall and repair of the pedestrian bridge of the Coral highway.

He ended his Saturday agenda with the inauguration of the General Pedro Santana Fortress, seat of the Sixth Infantry Brigade of the National Army.
