Institutions will develop research projects to strengthen education in the DR

The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCYT) and the Dominican Institute for Evaluation and Research of Educational Quality (IDEICE), agreed to work together on educational research projects with universities in the country.

During a visit made by the director of IDEICE, Carmen Caraballo to the office of the head of the MESCYT, Franklin García Fermín, it was informed that the alliance seeks to align future steps between both institutions, with the objective of carrying out research projects that strengthen education in the Dominican Republic.

“This meeting has been for the purpose of outlining steps towards the future between both institutions, especially in the direction of working with universities on research projects and others that will strengthen the quality of education in the Dominican Republic,” said Minister Garcia Fermin.

“At IDEICE, the joint projects with the MESCYT will strengthen our lines of research, diversify the topics, creating a synergy, to favor the educational quality of the country”, said Carmen Caraballo, who defined the visit as the beginning of a whole work process.

IDEICE is the first public institution in the country with a technical character that is entirely dedicated to the evaluation and research of educational quality and the proactive dissemination of findings for the continuous improvement of the Dominican educational system.
