Integral security plan to be implemented in Colonial City

The Government announced that it will implement, as of August 9, an “Integral Plan for the security of the Colonial City” which will reinforce the operations of the Tourist Police.

For this reason, Joel Santos, Minister of the Presidency, informed that this pilot will have 143 agents, under the command of an operations manager and a monitoring and control center for the tourist zone.

It will take place between the perimeter of Francisco Alberto Caamaño Avenue, Mella Avenue, Padre Billini and Estrelleta. The area of action will be divided into four quadrants.

Santos indicated that the intention is to start on the 9th to guarantee security on the eve of the inauguration of President Luis Abinader, and to leave it permanently installed, according to Diario Libre.
