Lorenzo David Ramírez Uribe appointed Director General of Passports

President Abinader issued Decree 314-24, by which he appoints Lorenzo David Ramírez Uribe as head of the General Directorate of Passports, replacing Digna Reynoso.

The decree also establishes that Digna Reynoso is designated as executive director of the National Council of Presidential Management.

Article I of Decree No. 500-20 of September 23, 2020 is hereby repealed, as well as Article I of Decree No. 133-23 of March 28, 2023.

Ramírez Uribe is an industrial engineer and specialized in productivity and quality management at the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (Intec). He has extensive knowledge, certifications and experience in the area of quality.

He is an expert in the CAPA system for corrective and preventive actions, the most powerful tool that can improve a quality management system, and is an expert in Lean Manufacturing, a philosophy aimed at optimizing and improving the production process.

He has served as a consultant to SMEs for the implementation of the Quality Management System and preparation for ISO certification, a position in which he evaluated processes, applied improvements and developed manufacturing companies throughout the supply chain.
