Mayor’s Office appoints Frank Rainieri as SD tourism mentor

At the request of Mayor Carolina Mejía, the Council of Aldermen of the National District approved this Thursday the designation of businessman Frank Rainieri as a tourism mentor for the city of Santo Domingo.

This is an honorary support in matters related to the tourism sector that Rainieri will offer to the city.

In a ceremony held at the City Hall, a parchment was given to the prominent businessman, as well as a gift and a vest with his name, which identifies his link with the Mayor’s Office of the National District.

The founder of the Punta Cana Group, thanked the recognition and pledged to contribute his knowledge to increase the flow of visitors to the city of Santo Domingo.

Rainieri and Mayor Mejia had a relaxed conversation about various aspects of the city, including its potential and the visit of tourists.

Present at the event were his wife Haydée Kuret de Rainieri and his son Frank Elías Rainieri. In addition, José Ignacio Paliza, Administrative Minister of the Presidency.

Also in attendance were Yovany Moya, president of the Council of Aldermen; Sina del Rosario, technical secretary of the DN Mayor’s Office; Victor Gonzalez, Beatriz Gonzalez, Ana Gonzalez and Alicia Torres.
