Meritorious student from DR receives full scholarship at Harvard

His parents Denisse Méndez and David Bueno, who live in the State of Florida, in the United States, are very proud of him.

María Bueno Méndez is an 18 year old high school student in the United States, who received honors for her social and academic work, and was accepted by seven of the top universities in the United States, including five Ivy League universities, and received a full scholarship to study at Harvard University.

Maria Bueno told her story in an interview on AcentoTV, declaring herself in love with mathematics and economics studies. She was recognized by the Silvert Knight Awards, sponsored by The Miami Herald, for her social work in the Quisqueya Project, which raises funds and acquires goods to donate to poor families in the Dominican Republic.

Among the North American universities that accepted María Bueno’s scholarship applications are Cornell, Columbia, FIU Miami, University of Pennsylvania, Princeton University, Duke University and Harvard University.
