The Ministry of Tourism (Mitur) formed the Tourism Security Committee in Jarabacoa, with the purpose of implementing public policies that benefit the tourism sector in the municipality.
The meeting was attended by representatives of various institutions, who pledged to work hard to strengthen the protection and security of tourists in this mountainous area.
In this sense, the director of Tourism in the northern zone, Atahualpa Paulino, expressed that, with the security table, the aim is to formalize the businesses that offer tourist services, to train, orient and accredit the guides of the sector, to raise the priority works and to coordinate actions to improve the traffic.
The security committee is composed of representatives of institutions and various sectors of society in the municipality of Jarabacoa. They will follow up to work together and strengthen the growth of the tourist destination.
