The Executive Power appointed, by means of decree 407-24, Sigmund Freund as executive director of the Trust for the Tourist Development of Pedernales (Fideicomiso Pro-Pedernales), in an honorary capacity.
The decree establishes that in his functions he will be the highest operational authority of the Trust and will be in charge of the coordination and supervision of the development of the project, leading the internal and organizational structure of the Trust, having to execute the actions foreseen according to the contract.
Likewise, it will be able to carry out all the necessary actions for the fulfillment of its object and purposes, and those specifically entrusted to it by the Executive Power, in accordance with the law.
Together with Fiduciaria Reservas, S.A., the DGAPP as representative of the Dominican State as Trustor, and the executive director of the Pro-Pedernales Trust, will carry out the necessary transformations to the contract.
Freund will perform such functions, in conjunction with his recent appointment as Minister of Public Administration, appointed by Abinader last July 17, when he occupied the general direction of the DGAPP.
