What does each element of the winning country brand logo mean?

Graphic designer Isabella Fernández, winner of the creation of the new Marca País logo, explained the meaning of the elements that make up her proposal “Open arms”.

In a message posted on her Instagram account (ifa.designs), Fernández indicated: the Dominicans “are always with open arms, welcoming and offering what we have as a country”.

He maintained that his symbol is based on three fundamental elements, which have their respective meanings.

The first element shows “our differentiating value, which is our people”, he added.

The young woman calls the second element of the logo “strategic pillars” and represents “what we have to offer to the world, which is investment, culture (representing the obelisk in the petal), exports, tourism and citizenship”.

The third element shows the initials of the gentilicio which is “Dominican”.
