Within the framework of the official visit to the country of the delegation of the Military Fire Department of the Federal District of Brazil, the Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources and this institution, through the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in Brazil, signed a cooperation agreement with the objective of exchanging experiences to combat forest fires.
During the meeting, Ambassador Patricia Villegas de Jorge emphasized that this agreement is vital to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and the exchange of professional experiences between Brazil and the Dominican Republic.
At the end of the ceremony, the ambassador took the opportunity to recognize the work and heroism of the firefighters, whose dedication, devotion and vocation of service inspire confidence and security in our societies.
At the signing, the official delegation was headed by Colonel Alan Alezandre Araujo and integrated by officers João Henrique Corrêa, Ulisses Sebastian Ziech, Aymê Pires Serrano, Valdério Veloso Costa and Felipe Oliveria.
