Dominican companies showcase their products at EXPOCOMER

Dominican companies exhibit their products at EXPOCOMER 2023 from March 28-30 in Panama.

The Export and Investment Center of the Dominican Republic (ProDominicana) organized the participation of the exportable offer in the 39th edition of EXPOCOMER 2023, in Panama, with the purpose of identifying business opportunities in sectors such as textiles, accessories, industry, hair, among others.

The executive director of ProDominicana, Biviana Riveiro Disla, explained that “this fair platform promotes contacts, products and business opportunities between local and international participants, becoming the ideal multi-sector event for the presentation of new products and services in a total exhibition area of more than 15,500 square meters, which brings together more than 600 companies from over 30 countries”.

He also considered that international fairs constitute a great commercial showcase and an important means of communication between producers, businessmen and the general public. “We must continue to increase the participation of our producers in these events, with the purpose of continuing to invigorate the local economy for the good of all Dominican citizens.”Empresa Dominicana en EXPOCOMER

In that sense, for the period 2015-2022 the Dominican Republic has exported a total of USD 380.9 million to Panama, highlighting 2022 with a total of USD 58.4 million in exports.

Likewise, the products with the highest inter-annual growth to the referred nation are: ophthalmology instruments and apparatus, registering an absolute increase in additional USD 12.8 million in 2022, followed by medicines with an increase in USD 2.3 million, iron or steel bar in USD 2.2 million, machines and apparatus for wrapping goods with additional USD 2.0 million.

The Dominican Republic pavilion included the participation of the companies Efectos LMR, SRL, Utopía: Del Pozo INTL, SRL, Sarise Cosmética SRL, Tabacalera Estrella SRL, Coral Turquesa, Sante Cigars. Among the products to be exhibited by Dominican companies at the fair are: jewelry, textiles, hair and tobacco.

It is worth mentioning that the representatives of the companies will have the opportunity to exhibit their products until March 30 and, likewise, participate in important business rounds with the appropriate technical assistance from ProDominicana representatives.
