The Dominican Republic is participating in LAC Flavors 2022, one of the most important food and beverage events in the Latin American and Caribbean region.
The delegation of companies participating in the event is led by the Dominican Republic Export and Investment Center (ProDominicana).
During the activity, which is being held in Panama City, the participating exporters had access to business meetings with buyers from all over the world.
At the same time, they strengthened ties with other producers and distributors in the region. “The participation of our exporters in LAC Flavors was made possible through collaboration with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), who invite participation, and we proudly saw how several of the small and medium-sized companies that we accompanied in their export processes met the criteria to showcase their products at the fair,” said Biviana Riveiro, executive director of ProDominicana.
It is worth noting that in the last editions of LAC Flavors they generated more than one billion dollars in purchase intentions, after exceeding 19,000 meetings between exporters and buyers. “In our National Export Promotion Plan we have innovation as a transversal axis. And this fair prioritizes the use of promotional strategies based on new platforms as a means to motivate the food and beverage sector to keep up to date,” said Jaime Licairac, ProDominicana’s Export Director.
The companies that participated in LAC Flavors meet various eligibility criteria, including: having quality certifications for their products, having exported or having an export plan, being registered in the Conecta América trade exchange platform promoted by the IDB, and having a website.
The Dominican delegation was made up of the following companies: Consorcio Cítricos Dominicanos, P&P Tropical Mix SRL, Cacao Mae, Asopropimopla, Plant Powered and Frescura Tropical SRL, as well as Goldentree SRL, which participated as a buyer.
