DR to exhibit products at the largest cosmetics fair in the Americas
The Dominican Republic’s Export and Investment Center (ProDominicana) is leading the delegation of cosmetics exporters that will participate in the 19th edition of Cosmoprof North America (CPNA), to be held July 12-14 in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.
The fair is considered the largest event in the Americas for the promotion of cosmetics and personal care products, as well as B2B exchange in the sector.
Exporters and buyers from Asia, Europe and South America participate in the event. Biviana Riveiro, executive director of ProDominicana said: “Our participation in Cosmoprof is part of the strategy to promote export sectors based on products with a much higher value chain. We are taking the Dominican Republic to compete with finished goods, which generate higher sales volume, specialized jobs and enable productive linkages at new levels. The export of cosmetic products 10 years ago amounted to US$83.1 million and we have been growing to such levels that in 2021 US$109.0 million in cosmetic products were exported. It is important to highlight that exports during the January-May 2022 period amounted to US$47 million, which is a historical record for exports in this sector during the first five months of the year”.
The fair brings together companies that present new technologies, products and brands from the various beauty and personal care subsectors. At the same time, it is the largest platform for SMEs and minority distributors to establish contact networks.
Within the framework of the National Plan for the Promotion of Exports, this fair intervenes in the promotion of sectors that show growth in their export volumes and have a very positive impact on the MSME and women’s sectors.
The companies that will participate in Cosmoprof via ProDominicana are: Camilo Labs, Laboratorios Capilo, Ginger Milk Natural Care, Deya By Dewi Peña, Inversiones & Negocios (INESA), Orgliz, Laboratorios Royste, Maka Capilar Health, Moringaia, boe, AVAcare, Sabelle Cosmetics, Wiu Cosmetics, among others that will be represented in ProDominicana’s directory of exporters.
