Ibero-America’s most important businessmen to meet in June in the Dominican Republic

On June 1 and 2, the city of Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic will become the meeting place for the most important entrepreneurs from all over Ibero-America. This will take place within the framework of the fifth edition of the Congress ‘Innovation and Opportunities in Times of Uncertainty’.

For the first time this congress will be held outside Spain. To this end, businessmen, presidents of leading companies in Ibero-America will focus on the challenges and opportunities facing Ibero-America in times of uncertainty.

The President of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader, will inaugurate the businessmen’s meeting. There they will analyze the current economic, commercial, business and investment situation throughout Ibero-America.

Núria Vilanova, president of CEAPI, explained: “The purpose of this meeting is to make Ibero-America more Ibero-American. This by developing companies that, with their growth, their investments, their innovation, and the creation of new opportunities, are generating wealth. And also better jobs”.

During the V Ibero-American Businessmen’s Congress there will be the opportunity to attend interesting discussions and interviews. The first of these will be with Enrique V. Iglesias, honorary president of CEAPI. In addition, Andrés Allamand, Secretary General of Ibero-America and Stanley Motta, President of COPA HOLDINGS on Ibero-America in the new world order. The winners of the meeting
The Ibero-American businesswomen: Altagracia Gómez Sierra, executive president of MINSA; Gina Díez Barroso, CEO of Diarq Holding and founder and president of Dalia Empower; Carmen Abondano de Dávila, president of the corporate board of Grupo Daabon (COL); Juana Barceló, president of Barrick Gold Corporation (DR); and Mariana Correa Sabogal, of Misión Huascarán (PE), will receive the Women, Business and Leadership award. This will take place during the last dinner of the V CEAPI Congress.

This tribute represents the gratitude to women who work not only to promote the development of their countries, but also to break the gender gap.

Jaime Gilinski, president of Grupo Gilinski, a business and banking group based in Colombia, was the winner of the eighth edition of the Enrique V. Iglesias Award for Ibero-American Business Development. The businessman will receive his award at the first dinner of the Congress on June 1. With this award, the CEAPI jury recognizes Gilinski’s contribution to the economic and social development of Ibero-America. In addition to the strengthening of ties between the countries that make up the region.

This award, organized by the Business Council Alliance for Ibero-America (CEAPI), is awarded annually and in previous editions has been presented by His Majesty the King.
