Precipitate Gold expects to obtain drilling permits later this year.
The mining company Precipitate Gold has just discovered new gold anomalies in Pueblo Grande, a mining project close to the deposits of Pueblo Viejo (municipality of Cotuí), the results of which would provide the company with the basis to exhaust a next phase of drilling in this area.
This was announced by the Canadian company in a press release, which owns this mining initiative being developed in the country.
Detailed studies in the south zone of Pueblo Grande, carried out in the first quarter of this year, revealed new gold anomalies in the soil, in early stage, located in the western and central parts of the project.
“These gold anomalies often coincide with significant silver, arsenic, antimony and thallium tracers,” the company highlighted in a statement, released in English.
The largest soil anomaly measures approximately 2.8 kilometers by 1 kilometer and is open to the west, close to Barrick Gold’s Zambrana exploration target, located southwest of Pueblo Viejo.
Precipitate Gold has a collaboration agreement with Barrick Gold for exploration work on this deposit.
“Barrick’s ongoing exploration work for 2024 at Pueblo Grande Sur will delineate and refine potential drill-worthy targets in this emerging project area,” noted the company, which is expecting to obtain drilling permits later this year.
