The name of presenter Dianabel Gómez, ex-wife of popular sportscaster Franklin Mirabal, became a trend again this Wednesday morning on social networks, after rumors circulated that she had been detained in one of the raids led by the DNCD and the Attorney General’s Office in the city of Santiago.
Without official confirmation, the version has been leaked that supposedly Dianabel has a relationship with one of those directly linked to the case and that she is being detained in Santiago.
Precisely this morning the presenter would have deleted her official Instagram account, a fact that aroused the curiosity of social network users interested in the subject, making it a trend in the search engine.
About the raids
On Wednesday morning, it was announced that the Public Prosecutor’s Office together with the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD) carried out some 80 simultaneous raids in Santiago, the National District, Santo Domingo and other districts.
According to the information obtained, agents of the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) participated in the raids related to drug trafficking and money laundering cases.
Among the premises raided are gas stations, villas, apartments, different businesses, and high-end cars have also been seized.
According to a press release of the PGR, during the raids, Juan Maldonado Castro, head of the General Directorate Comunidad Digna, as well as Juan José de la Cruz Morales, José Alejandro de la Cruz Morales, María Olimpia Tavarez, Lenin Bladimir Torres Bueno and Delfina Asunción Polanco, among others, were arrested, however, it does not confirm the arrest of the presenter Dianabel Gómez.
