The Corporación Estatal de Radio y Televisión (CERTV) will present through its media and digital platforms the closing concert of the first “Festival Lírico del Caribe”, to be held next Sunday, May 9, at the Carlos Piantini Hall of the Eduardo Brito National Theater.
The live broadcast will be at 6 p.m. on Sunday on Canal 4RD, Dominicana FM, the portal canal4rd.com and CERTV’s digital platforms.
Sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, the European Union and the Fundación Sinfonía, viewers will be able to enjoy an event designed to stimulate cultural exchange among young, up-and-coming lyric singers in the Caribbean.
Eight young people from different Caribbean countries were selected for this closing presentation: Joe Bertili (Guadeloupe), Valérie Brutus (Haiti), Natalia Dopwell (Trinidad and Tobago), Marie-Laure Garnier (French Guiana), Héctor Rodríguez (Cuba), Frank Ledesma (Cuba), Celia Sotomayor (Puerto Rico) and José Heredia (Dominican Republic).
These young people will be accompanied by the National Youth Symphony Orchestra of the Dominican Republic, conducted by maestros Darwin Aquino and Alberto Rincón.
The channel’s production team, under the direction of José Luis de la Cruz, is coordinating the technical aspects of this broadcast, which is part of CERTV’s commitment to bring quality content to Dominican homes.
