CNCP its success 3rd edition of Expo Provisions 2022 fair

The Consejo Nacional del Comercio de Provisiones (CNCP), highlighted the success of its third national fair Expo Provisiones 2022, which took place during the month of June and was inaugurated in the presence of the Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Peña.

The president of the CNCP, Julio César Pérez Mata, thanked the more than 100 Dominican companies dedicated to the area of provisions in mass consumption products for supporting this initiative and highlighted the importance that the trade has had on Dominicans.

“With this third edition, our Expo Provisiones consolidates itself as the most important annual event where the bases are created to unite the main commercial and productive sectors of the country, with a great variety of services and products,” said Pérez Mata.

The business leader emphasized that “Expo Provisiones is the main event linked to the commercial activity of mass consumption products in the Dominican Republic, standing out for its quality, innovation and contribution to the business sector linked to the provisions market and retail and wholesale trade”.

On his side, Alberto Leroux, president of the Fair Committee Fair, said: “We closed with good numbers this edition, with business operations that recorded sales of more than 200 million between wholesalers and retailers, the education of hundreds of entrepreneurs through a program of lectures and an attendance never seen in a fair held in this place. In addition to this, the participation of the 74 associations affiliated to the CNCP, the support of important leading companies in the supplies market, which guarantees the next Expo Provisiones 2023”.

“During the days of Expo Provisiones 2022, traders had the opportunity to make business meetings, consumers found basic necessities at manufacturers’ prices, and were also able to expand their knowledge through an interesting program of lectures, where executives of the national and international industry participated, as well as the exhibition of successful entrepreneurs of trade in provisions.

At the inauguration of Expo Provisiones 2022, the CNCP presented a recognition to the company Nestlé Dominicana, to whom the fair was dedicated for its trajectory and contributions and whose guest country was Guatemala, a sister nation symbol of development, with whom the Dominican Republic has maintained uninterrupted diplomatic relations since 1954.

Both awards were presented by the Vice President of the Republic Raquel Peña and the president of the CNCP, Julio César Pérez Mata”, concluded Leroux. The fair was held on June 2, 3, 4 and 5 at the Sambil Shopping Mall.
