The 23rd edition of the traditional Dominican Republic event will be held at the Barceló Bávaro Convention Center, Punta Cana, from April 26-28.
The Dominican Republic Hotel and Tourism Association (Asonahores) announced the 23rd edition of the “Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange”, DATE, to be held from April 26 to 28 at the Barceló Bávaro Convention Center, Punta Cana.
In this regard, David Llibre, president of the entity, said: “This new edition of DATE reiterates the great commitment we have to contribute to the growth of our activity and the development of the Dominican economy”,
Andrés Marranzini Grullón, executive vice-president of Asonahores, informed that “DATE 2023 will feature a number of important national and international hotel chains that will be present for the first time”.

Present at the launch of the event were Andrés Marranzini Grullón, executive vice president of Asonahores; Zarina Montalvo, commercial director of the Barceló Bávaro Grand Resort hotel; and Roberto Henriquez, vice minister of Quality of Tourism Services of the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic; among other directors and officials.
In this context, Marranzini Grullón indicated: “We have integrated new actors for the activities, therefore, at the headquarters we will offer an exclusive space for meetings in the Bavaro Grand Ballroom, while the inauguration will be guided by the modern Katmandu Punta Cana theme park”.
On the other hand, he affirmed: “The increase in the number of participants corresponds to the joint effort between sectors. In this sense, the Ministry of Tourism is coordinating actions with the Tourism Promotion Offices aimed at the integration of the different markets and the international projection of our country”.
It is worth mentioning that DATE has scheduled business rounds between foreign buyers and local suppliers, press conferences with national and international journalists, and focused activities.
