After a two-year pause due to the health crisis that hit the world, the event returns with more strength to bring “the music of the musicians, the jazz”.
The Dominican Republic Jazz Festival Educational Foundation (FEDUJAZZ) announces the celebration of the twenty-fourth edition of the Dominican Republic Jazz Festival with two free concerts to be held on November 11 and 12 in Cabarete Beach, with the good music and vibe that characterizes the event.
After a two-year pause due to the health crisis that hit the world, the event returns with more strength to bring “the music of the musicians, jazz” to the hundreds of people from all over the country and tourists from all over the world who come to each concert.
With the official sponsorship of the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic, the 2022 version of the DR Jazz Festival will feature the participation of national and international artists, such as the Equatoguinean-Spanish singer Buika, who excels in different musical genres such as flamenco, jazz, tango and boleros, as well as the Bonyé Group, with a repertoire that includes son, guaracha, montuno, traditional son, salsa, salve and merengue.
“We are extremely happy and excited to bring back these concerts that with good music unite hundreds of people who love jazz, which positively impacts children and adolescents who learn music through the foundation and the collaboration of so many people, companies and institutions that believe in the hard work of the foundation and our team,” said Maria Elena Gratereaux, president of FeduJazz.
In addition to the presentations of important musicians and singers, the DR Jazz Festival 2022, like its previous editions, offers a wide and interesting agenda that includes different free musical educational workshops offered by professional musicians; jam sessions for those who want to improvise, as well as activities for the whole family that will take place in Sosúa.
