Dominican stand inaugurated at cruise fair in Miami

The Minister of Tourism, David Collado, described as “extraordinary” the cruise season that the country will have this year, registering record arrivals of visitors by sea.

While inaugurating the Dominican stand at the Florida and Caribbean Cruise Fair held in Miami, United States, Collado highlighted the contribution that the sector makes to the economy.

This traditional fair is organized every year by the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA).

At the opening ceremony of the Dominican stand at the cruise fair, Minister Collado was accompanied by the operators of Ports of the Dominican Republic and the Dominican consul in Miami, Florida, Jacobo Fernández.

“Today we inaugurate this stand at the FCCA fair convinced that, thanks to the joint work we carry out with the port operators and the strategic alliance we have with the Florida and Caribbean Cruise Association, we will have the best year in the arrival of cruise passengers,” said Collado.

As part of these activities, the country was chosen to host the annual cruise meeting in September this year, organized by the FCCA.

It is recalled that on Monday, the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association recognized the country for its performance in cruise tourism and for its record post-pandemic recovery.
