Huawei representatives explained that the Dominican Republic is one of the most important territories for the development of clean electric energy.
The technology company Huawei, held the third edition of the Energyear Caribe 2022 congress, which aims to promote the use of renewable energies, with the intention that 30% of the country’s energy matrix is from such sources.
In the activity held at the Intercontinental Hotel, Huawei representatives explained that the Dominican Republic is one of the most important territories to exercise the development of clean electric energy.
“The government has greatly encouraged solar energy, facilitating direct foreign investment, which is reflected in the business that we envision,” explained Juan Rodríguez Benavides, director of Solar Energy and Storage Latin America Multi-Country of Huawei Digital Power.
The company’s executives informed that they are working on generating and storing photovoltaic energy, contributing to powering millions of homes and hundreds of industries around the world.
The director of Huawei Digital Power for Central America and the Caribbean, Felix Chen, and the president of Huawei Digital Power Latin America at Intersolar, Hery Wang, participated in the congress.
