Jarabacoa blooms with people at the Flower Festival

This festival, which is being held from July 11 to 14, has brought together people from all over the country and even from abroad. Many of its visitors stated that the prices have been affordable.

For the thirteenth time the municipality of Jarabacoa in the province of La Vega gathers hundreds of people for the Flower Festival in the Confluencia Park.

Since 2009, its founders have been working to fill this municipality with visitors to get to know this land. Milly Perez, one of its coordinators, said that this event is dedicated to the environment and the communities of Jarabacoa.

Qualifying it as “an ideal town”, she expressed that Jarabacoa is the right place to make a flower festival and above all dedicated to the environment, “because this is the mother of waters”.

This is a cultural and creative event with different stands, not only of flowers, there are stands of what the people of Jarabacoa do; artists, painters, craftsmen, jewelry.

The coordinator said that the people have loved the treatment they receive from the local municipalities and that this is what has impressed them the most.

“Here is where there is always spring and where God sleeps. Now so that God continues to sleep we are arranging his bed and doing this so that the people know that Jarabacoa is spring that is contagious” added Perez.
