Restaurant Week Punta Cana will feature the participation of 27 restaurants in the area, which will be presenting two menu proposals with special prices of RD$995 and RD$1,495 pesos plus tax.
The tourist destination of Punta Cana is preparing to receive for the first time the renowned gastronomic event Restaurant Week, to be held in that area from Wednesday 19 to Sunday 23 October, with the participation of 27 restaurants located in Bávaro, Punta Cana, Cap Cana and Autopista del Coral.
This iconic activity is organized within the framework of the V edition of the Gastronomic SDQ 2022, by the Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic, ASONAHORES, and the Dominican Restaurant Association, ADERES.
Rafael Blanco Tejera, president of ASONAHORES, expressed that, “SDQ Gastronomic emerges in 2017 to strengthen the visitor’s experience to the Dominican Republic through the gastronomic industry, which also allows us to compete with destinations in the region in this branch of tourism offerings.” He added that “this proposal creates the characteristics to receive the different flavors of our territory under expert executions, in this case the East, with a five 5-day stop in Punta Cana”.
Omar Cepeda, president of ADERES, said that “this celebration promotes and positions the gastronomic diversity of the country allowing our chefs, both laureates and emerging talents, to share an experience of flavors and innovate in their culinary proposals through Restaurant Week and a menu designed exclusively for this event, which brings this year as a novelty two options with a special price of RD$995 pesos and RD$1,495 pesos plus tax”.
People will be able to acquire their Restaurant Week Punta Cana gastronomic passport free of charge in two modalities, physical and virtual, through the website www.sdqgastronomico.com. This passport will be stamped or registered by QR code in each establishment that the diner visits, and will allow them to acquire stamps in their passbooks to access special offers and promotions from the sponsoring companies. They will also be able to vote for their favorite restaurants that have captivated their palate, in accordance with the criteria of the Dominican Academy of Gastronomy.
Among the restaurants participating in Restaurant Week Punta Cana 2022 are, from hotel restaurants, the Ara/Four Points Punta Cana and La Yola Punta Cana Resorts & Club, along with the restaurants Aura Mediterranean Cusine, Barbudo Restaurant, Bohemian Cap Capa, Brönch, Burlao Grill, Carbone Chophouse and Bar, Dolce Italia by Liberato, Dolce Italia Cap Cana, Georgette, Gourmet Market RD, La Casita de Yeya, Maccaroni Pasta Factory, Mamma Luisa Punta Cana, Maralía, Montserrat Manor, Pizzería El Pórtico, Punta Cava, SBG Punta Cana, Taquería El Burrito, Típico Bonao La Romana, The Oriental Pan Asian Bistro, Vale Valentina and Youyu.
SDQ Gastronómico is an annual event which, together with renowned chefs from the city’s restaurants and hotel restaurants, has innovated the Dominican gastronomic scene with its emblematic Restaurant Week activity, eagerly awaited by those passionate about the country’s haute cuisine.
